Privacy Policy

This page explains what Delivaz collects about you, why we collect it, who sees it, and what you can do about it. It describes the system as it works today.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and a password we store hashed, never in readable form. If you sign in through a social account, we receive only your name and email from it.
  • Your addresses: what you save in your address book - country, city, district and address details - so orders can be delivered and delivery costs calculated.
  • Your approximate location: the country and city you choose, kept in a cookie so we can show you the stores and products that reach you. We read your device's precise location only when you ask us to, using the "use my location" control.
  • Your orders: what you bought, when, from which seller, to which address, in which currency, and the order's status through to delivery.
  • What you write: reviews, comments, chat messages to sellers, order reports, and messages you send us.
  • Technical data: usage logs and aggregate view and click counters we use to measure how the platform performs.

Payment data - what we do not keep

Delivaz does not store your card number or its security code. When you pay or save a card, the card details go directly to the payment gateway, and the gateway returns a token that cannot be used to buy anywhere outside our platform, along with the last four digits, the card type and its expiry so that you can recognise it. Our staff cannot see your card number.

Why we use your data

  • To place, deliver and resolve your orders.
  • To run and secure your account and verify you at sign-in.
  • To show you the stores, products and offers available where you are.
  • To contact you about an order, an enquiry, or a change in your transaction.
  • To measure and improve the platform, using aggregate figures that do not identify you.
  • To meet our legal obligations and to prevent fraud and abuse.

Who sees your data

  • The seller you bought from: sees what fulfilling your order requires - your name, delivery address, contact details and the order contents. They do not see your orders from other sellers, or the rest of your account.
  • The delivery provider: sees what reaching you requires.
  • The payment gateway: receives your payment details directly from you.
  • The Delivaz team: within the permissions each staff member holds.

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Support sessions

To resolve a problem you report, a support agent may need to open your account as you, to see what you see. Four limits govern that session: it announces itself with a visible banner inside the account for its whole duration, it expires on its own after a short period, it is read-only unless the operator holds a separate editing permission, and money and identity operations are closed in either case. Anything created during such a session is marked as having come from a support session, and records who ran it.

Cookies

We use cookies for three things: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences - language, currency, country and city, light or dark mode - and measuring platform performance in aggregate. You can clear them in your browser settings, which will lose your preferences and sign you out.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, the account is deactivated and your transaction records are not erased: orders, invoices and financial transactions are a shared accounting record between you and the seller, and we are required to retain them. After deactivation the account cannot be signed into and your details no longer appear on the platform.

Your rights

You can view and correct your data directly from your account pages, ask us to deactivate your account, and ask what we hold about you. Write to us from the contact page and we will respond.

Children

Delivaz is not aimed at people below the legal age of majority, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page; the date it was last updated appears at the bottom. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the version shown.
